We’ve Been Baking Toward This
Flour & Branch opened in San Francisco in 2020—an ambitious time to start anything, let alone a bakery.
What began with joyful, nostalgia-driven bakes grew into a nationally recognized brand, a trusted catering partner, and a community far bigger than we imagined. Along the way, our cookies earned attention from Food Network, Forbes, Rachael Ray and Eater; our catering traveled from intimate celebrations to the Super Bowl Tailgate; and the road to our new South Park home delivered more plot twists than any bakery reasonably needs.
It also made the vision clearer.
The Next Chapter
Today, Flour & Branch is an artisan bakery and café serving California comfort through the lens of an artisan bakery.
Our menus move from pastry and coffee into brunch, supper and dessert—market-driven, fully made in house, and rooted in the foods we never outgrew.
We laminate the pastries, bake the breads, smoke the meats, build the sauces, and make the fillings, compotes and confections ourselves. We source exceptional ingredients and local produce whenever possible, because nostalgia is better when it has standards.
More Than a Bakery
Flour & Branch was created for coffee runs, long brunches, dinner dates, celebrations, and the moments that deserve a very good cookie.
Beyond the café, our catering, gifting, private events and membership experiences bring the same care, quality and point of view wherever the occasion takes us.
We’re proudly woman- and LGBTQ-owned, made in San Francisco, and still growing—with a little more room now for everything we always knew Flour & Branch could become.

About Lauren
Founder Lauren Arnsdorff has always believed food is a form of care.
Raised in San Diego around family tables, fair food, and women who cooked generously, Lauren built Flour & Branch to make people feel welcomed, celebrated, and very well fed.
Before Flour & Branch, she built a career in brand strategy and marketing. Now, that same obsession lives in every detail—from the words on the wall to the final swipe of sauce on a plate.
The brand has grown, but the reason behind it hasn’t: make something exceptional, and make people feel something.
Thank you for being part of what came before—and what comes next.
